Ooooooooooklahoma

I will be flying to Tulsa on Dec. 20.  I'm flying back on Jan. 3.

It's been a while since I put in a good entry here.  I owe you all an update.

Life's been very fast lately.  A little stressful, a little joyful, but certainly fast.  Research is going ok - I've got multiple conferences lined up.  There's a good deal of pressure to get good results as the conferences draw closer... but I think I can handle it.  Submitted a paper for review - a first for our lab.  These days have also seen the dawn and dusk of a UROP, and currently I am trying to set up a multi-lab collaboration for another UROP student.

I fell in love... with a smart, open-minded, beautiful young woman.  I never thought I'd find someone... and it turns out she didn't either.  But now we both are steadfast believers in the concept of soulmates.  There really is someone out there for you.  You just gotta find him or her.

I've been trying to keep up with friends.... but as you can tell by this tardy entry, I'm not doing a very good job.  Friends are the people who help give us purpose and substance in life.  I wish I could spend more time with my friends.  We're all growing up so fast, huh?

Still working out, though I've plateau'ed in recent weeks.  Pooh.

There's so much I want to do on all fronts.  I've never really appreciated how precious time can be until recently.

Homeward bound.  I miss you already, Leah.

Today was simultaneously the most exciting and scary day that I've ever had.  Today, my life changed forever.

Oklahoma...

Flying in June 26, flying out July 4.  Family stuff.  Probably will be bored to tears.  But it'll be nice to get away from the lab for a bit.
